Accordionist Luciano Biondini and Klaus Falschlunger on the sitar are among those musicians who, equipped with open eyes and ears, are always looking for a meeting of different musical traditions and styles. In their new program "Once In A Blue Moon", the two virtuosos roam the vast galaxies of the Western and Eastern musical hemispheres - soul music full of poetry, energy and subtle humour.
They build bridges between Indian music, jazz, pop and folk - all the way to Italian folklore. Their musical diary recordings are a special kind of sound experience!

Luciano Biondini studied classical accordion from the age of ten and has received numerous international awards such as the Trophée Mondial de l'Accordéon, the Premio Internazionale di Castelfidardo, the Premio "Luciano Fancelli" and the Premio Internazionale di Recanati. In 1994 he turned to jazz music and performed with musicians such as Rabih Abou-Khalil, Dave Bargeron, Michel Godard, Lucas Niggli, Battista Lena, Gabriele Mirabassi, Enrico Rava, Tony Scott, Mike Turk, Ares Tavolazzi, Roberto Ottaviano, Maarten van der Grinten, Martin Classen and Enzo Pietropaoli.
He regularly works as a duo with the Argentinian saxophonist and clarinettist Javier Girotto.
Klaus Falschlunger Since the Austrian musician Klaus Falschlunger came into contact with the Indian sitar over 30 years ago, he has developed into an expert on the instrument and an active representative of the Indian-European scene in Europe. After three years of study in New Delhi and Varanasi in northern India and later in Vienna, he increasingly explored his musical boundaries and those of the instrument. His compositions contain a wide variety of elements from Indian music, jazz, folk and rock/pop. Having grown up with jazz and rock music, he increasingly discovered the diversity of music during his extensive travels to Asia, the Middle East and Europe. In addition to his preference for Indian classical music, he plays, experiments and composes with various formations. His creativity and versatility have brought him together with numerous musicians and artists from India, Korea, the USA and Europe, and he has performed extensively in Europe, India, Mexico and South Korea and has released and produced numerous recordings with various ensembles.
