The Silt Trio around bassist Luke Stewart is one of the most exciting formations on the current US jazz scene. Stewart, described by DownBeat as one of the most influential jazz artists of his generation, has been a formative figure in the creative music scene in Washington D.C. and beyond for almost two decades.
With its open, dialogical approach, the trio creates a highly communicative sound space in which energy, richness of detail and collective spontaneity come together.
At domicil, Stewart joins forces with the powerful tenor saxophonist Brian Settles and the renowned drummer Gerald Cleaver.
