Lulu Santos has released his debut album, "Tempos Modernos", in 1982. The mix of pop-rock-samba turned him into a hit machine for over 50 years, partnering with MPB artists such as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa. In 2024 Lulu has received two prizes at The Latin Grammys: Lifetime Achievement Award and Best Urban Song in Portuguese for "Cachimbo da Paz 2", feat Gabriel O Pensador and Xamã. His last tour, "Barítono", reunited over 2 million people during 109 concerts in Brazil and in the USA. Lulu has sold over 15 million albums, and he keeps his relevance in the digital era, reuniting billions of streams in the music apps. He was "The Voice Brasil" coach for all the 12 seasons, until the show ended in 2023.
