The legendary Berlin band Lychee Lassi are celebrating their 25th anniversary with a tour in their original formation. They've been doing this for quite a while now - since 2024 to be precise - and because it's so much fun for everyone involved, they just won't stop. Meaning: Lychee Lassi are coming back to the Gretchen in 2026.

Founded in Berlin in 1999, Based, Beat, Berger and DJ Illvibe are getting back together to finally present their unique mix of hip-hop beats, turntablism and jam band improvisation live again.

After excursions to the big stages of the republic as musicians in the bands of Seeed, Peter Fox and Marteria, Lychee Lassi has shed all commercialism and combines hip-hop with jazz, kraut and funk. But this is just the basis, into which an incredible amount of inspiration from music history is smuggled in order to consistently trim it to individuality with the weirdest energy, total power and alienated voices from vinyl.

It is experimental, unique, powerful and modern, but also has brothers in spirit such as DJ Spooky or Kid Koala. Works wonderfully in concert, is ecstatic and unreservedly fun.
