Right on Time Tour
Even as a child, Mabel knew that she wanted to be on stage and inspire people around the world with her music. At the age of 22, the Londoner-by-choice landed a smash hit with "Don't Call Me Up", which gave her her international breakthrough and now ranks alongside "Tick Tock" feat. 24kGoldn and "Mad Love" in the artist's top 3 tracks with more than 1 million streams. Following the success of her debut album "HighExpectations", released in 2019, which also reached the top 3 in the UK album charts, Mabel was named Best British Female Solo Artist at the 2020 BRIT Awards. She has previously toured in support of Harry Styles, LANY and Khalid and consequently also on her own headline tours. With several hit singles, her two albums and a new mixtape in her luggage, Mabel will be coming to the Frannz Club in Berlin on November 24th for an exclusive show.
Mabel McVey was born in 1996 in Málaga, Spain, but grew up in Stockholm. Her parents - the Swedish singer Neneh Cherry and the British music producer Cameron McVey - shaped her interest in music at an early age, which is why she learned to play the piano as a child. Inspired by the British R&B scene, she moved to London after graduating from the Stockholm Rytmus Musikergymnasiet, where she released her first single in 2015. In 2017, the release of her single "Finders Keepers" marked her national breakthrough and landed in the top 10 of the UK charts, where the track has since been certified double platinum. This was followed in 2018 by the equally platinum singles "Fine Line" and "Ring Ring", while Vogue Germany described her as a music newcomer to know. Mabel made her international breakthrough in 2019 with her single "Don't Call Me Up". While the song went triple platinum in the UK and reached number 3 in the charts, it entered the top 10 in Germany. Her song "Mad Love" (certified double platinum) also became a top 10 hit in the UK, as did the singles "Boyfriend", "West Ten" and "Tick Tock" from the album "High Expectations". The album was released in August 2019 and took Mabel into the top 3 of the UK album charts, while in Germany it entered at #58. 2022 saw the release of her latest album "About Last Night", which took her to #2 in the UK charts. In 2024, Mabel returned with a few singles such as "Vitamins" and "Look At My Body Pt. II" feat. Shygirl and collaborated with Ty Dolla $ign on "Stupid Dumb". With "All Over You", "Benz" and "January 19", 2025 followed up with more singles and confirmed the speculation of a new mixtape, which will be released on July 25 under the name "Mabel".
