Sure, we all wish we could stroll through the world at our leisure at all times and avoid the potholes of everyday life with a mild smile - but that rarely works out. All the less so when we are met with digital grins from everywhere that feign a light-heartedness that we can't find in ourselves. How refreshing, then, when someone not only openly admits their fallibility, but also writes sharp-witted, sensitive, self-ironic, danceable and mercilessly honest songs about it, setting life to music as it really is. How powerful when you still have a sense of reflection and eye level even in the spotlight. MADELINE JUNO makes pop with rough edges, with twists and turns, with brains and courage - and continues writing where others stop.

Her story begins in her parents' band room, which she turns into a nursery at the age of 11. At 13, she uploads songs to YouTube that she doesn't tell anyone about at home, but which bring the producers of Tokio Hotel onto the scene. The collaboration began before her 15th birthday and the first album THE UNKNOWN was released straight after her graduation. A record that is not only so earth-shattering for the very young girl that the title adorns her forearm: With hits such as "Error", the title song from "Fack ju Göhte", the debut became a sensational success in 2014. The album secured five million streams in no time at all and paved the way for SALVATION, which was released in 2016 and was her last English-language release for the time being. Maddie's creativity knows no pauses and songwriting and collaborations with German-speaking colleagues do the rest: "I was curious to see how my voice would sound in German and whether the songs would work in my mother tongue." She is 20.

After arriving in Berlin from Offenburg, the 2017 WALDBRAND EP with German lyrics and the LP successor DNA actually caused a huge fire: tracks like "Schatten ohne Licht" and "Ohne Kleider" became viral hits, YouTube awarded her the Silver Play Button for 100,000 subscribers in 2019 and WAS BLEIBT was released - her fourth album and the third to crack the top 40 in the charts. At the same time, Maddie works with artists from Kayef to Esther Graf to 1986zig, paints and sells her own pictures, hosts and produces a podcast and directs everything that happens around her music. With success: her last two albums BESSER KANN ICH ES NICHT ERKLÄREN and NUR ZU BESUCH entered the charts at #6 and in addition to sold-out tours, festival and TV appearances at Deichbrand, zdf@Bauhaus or TV Noir, she wrote music for the ZDF feature film "Geheime Schatten".

In 2025, MADELINE JUNO released her seventh album ANOMALIE PT without any hashtag hype. 1. It's clever songs, well-rested productions, tough perseverance and stunning sincerity that have brought her here and will beam her onto all stages this year and, at the latest with the upcoming season of Sing meinen Song - das Tauschkonzert, also onto screens. After the South African summit meeting with Bosse, Johannes Oerding, Mieze and Die Fantastischen Vier, among others, what insiders already know has arrived in all living rooms: Maddie has long been in the premier league.
