MadMaxi* - A sexpositive Queerpocalypse

Dearest Queers, dear Allys,

Imagine: We have overthrown the patriarchy. We have banished privilege and stereotypical gender roles to the history books. Amidst the rubble and dust, we celebrate the end of all discrimination in euphoria.

The struggle is still palpable, clouds of smoke drift through the air - in this wasteland, a post-apocalyptic world, what does it look like? It's glittering! It glitters in the desert! It glitters, it is colorful, it is diverse and it is free, free and powerful.

Join us in a space where every person is seen for who they want to be. Allowed to express themselves and develop freely. We invite you to negotiate: Having conquered heteronormativity, we are free. Free to show and accept ourselves as we are. With Queerpocalypse, we want to create a safe and imaginative space with you in the SlowClub where we can dream, celebrate and meet other people.

A band, several DJs and walking acts await you in Wasteland. We have a dance floor for you, a small outdoor area and various chill and play areas.

The MadMaxi* is a sex-positive party, which in our case means that you are allowed to meet each other intimately anywhere. We don't see ourselves as a sex party or a kinky party - sex can and may surround you, but our party focus is on freedom, equality and empowerment. These can also be experienced in dancing, chilling, talking or through your outfit.

Express yourself, be yourself, dress for the occasion in an end-of-days outfit (don't make yourself poor, but make an effort). This is not about freedom of movement and dressing up, but about feeling good and being authentic.

We do everything we can to generate this free and safe space and offer mindful support for you. Throughout the evening, there will always be an awareness team that you can approach at any time and recognize by their pink vests.

There will be places for you to retreat to and there will also be admission, counter and checkroom staff to help you. We also have an awareness concept that every person must commit to when entering. Because we can only create this space together, we also need your attentiveness and help; let's celebrate together, see and support each other.

The 5-piece band Semen & Gayfunkel from Freiburg im Breisgau was formed for CSD 2022 and delivers its very own punky interpretation of queer hit songs from the past 5 decades. From Queen to Lady Gaga, even electro tracks are performed by the quintet in a new guise of distorted electric guitars and driving drum beats.

Dont's:

• Crossing boundaries of any kind. Consensus is key.

• Outfit choice: No effort, no entry! This event is a theme party. Please think about your outfit. Express yourself, be yourself, but dress appropriately for the occasion.

• We reserve the right not to let people into Wasteland at the door or to kick them out again if our rules are disregarded - you will not be refunded your ticket.

• Cell phone cameras have not survived the Queerpocalypse - they remain unused and will be taped off

• Our door will only be open from 8pm to 10.30pm, don't come before or after ;)

Do's:

• Consensus, always get a YES. Only YES means YES and a YES can always become a NO. Also pay attention to non-verbal signals, check in with the other person from time to time.

• Ask questions! You can't tell a person's sexuality or gender, ask about pronouns and orientations, don't just assume anything.

• You know your boundaries, you can name them and redefine them whenever you need to. If you don't respect them, leave our space. We are here for you! Talk to us. Let us know if you notice anything.

• Treat yourself and your surroundings responsibly. Watch your consumption!

• To buy a ticket online, you need the password Wüstensüßmaus.

• Be aware that you are attending a sex-positive event. Check in advance whether this is the place for you.

• Together with the Erogenous Zone, we provide lickable wipes, condoms and hygiene products - use them! Leave the play areas cleaner than you found them.

• You know best what else you need to feel comfortable and safe, so please bring what makes you feel safe, e.g. a towel to play with. Hygiene and safe sex are sexy!

• There will be a checkroom for your belongings, but remember that we are a small club, so please only bring what you need.

And one last thing:

We are organized entirely on a voluntary basis and have done our utmost to keep the entrance fee as low as possible to enable participation. The €25 is a solidarity price, if you can give more, please support us. No individual makes money from this event, it's solidarity for the community.
