In the organizer's words:

"Maybe this is the beginning / Maybe this is the end" sang Sebastian Madsen in the first song on Madsen's self-titled debut album. 20 years after its release, the only thing that can be said is that it was a beginning: It was a beginning! Madsen have now released nine studio albums - the last of which, "Hollywood" in summer 2023, reached number one in the German album charts for the first time - and the three Madsen brothers, together with bassist Niko Maurer and live members Lisa Who (keyboard, vocals) and Mücke (guitar), have hardly left a stage unplayed since then. The band from Wendland has definitely become an integral part of the rock'n'roll circus in this country.

To mark its twentieth anniversary, the Madsen debut album was reissued on vinyl on 01.11.2024. And not only with the 11 original tracks from 2005, but also with the previously unreleased song "Heute Nacht", which was also recorded in the 2004 recording sessions, but was lost on untidy hard drives. Until now.

Madsen has a punk DNA with influences such as Slime, Daily Terror, Toxoplasma or Schleimkeim and, in the wake of Thees Uhlmann, plays empathy rock with his heart in the right place and German lyrics just as readily and well.
