How many bands can proudly claim to have released ten studio albums while remaining one of Germany's most popular live bands for over 20 years now? Not many - but Madsen will soon be able to count themselves among them. On May 29, 2026, the band from Lower Saxony will release their tenth album, "Smile".

It has been over 20 years since the brothers Sebastian, Johannes and Sascha Madsen, together with bassist Niko Maurer and former member Folkert, released their debut album "Madsen" in 2005 after several years of playing together. Just one year later, they released "Goodbye Logik", one of the most important albums in the band's discography to date, which was followed by further releases at a rapid pace. The last longplayer to date, "Hollywood", was released in 2023 on their own label and was the band's first number one album.

20 years in which the musicians have continued to find their own musical niche from their initial punk and indie rock sound and have produced countless hits such as "Lass die Musik an", "Du schreibst Geschichte" and "Macht euch laut". And above all: 20 years in which the group has played its way from a local live band in the Wendland region of Lower Saxony to the headline festival stages of this country. Epic sing-along choruses and punk rock energy have given the band's performances that certain something ever since they were founded - just like the enormous fan loyalty that Madsen display. So it's no wonder that the guitar band has announced an extensive tour of Germany with their new album. They will be performing "Smile" a whopping twelve times in the fall of 2026 - and are sure to have the other highlights from over two decades of the band's existence with them.
