There's not much more to explain: Madsen are a brand in their own right. Their latest album "HOLLYWOOD" has gone straight to number 1 in the German charts, all the concerts on their current Hollywood Tour Part I are sold out - but that's no reason for the band to sit back, because Madsen have just announced the second part of their HOLLYWOOD TOUR.

The band, consisting of the eponymous brothers Sascha, Johannes and Sebastian, together with their childhood friend Niko Maurer, has been one of the most successful live & rock acts in the country for almost 20 years. It wouldn't be easy to find a person who hasn't seen Madsen live at least once in the last 20 years. You could say that the stage is simply part of the band's quintessence.

But if you reduce Madsen to their live entertainment qualities alone, you are far from doing the band justice: their ninth studio album "HOLLYWOOD", released in August 2023, underpins the band's status as one of the most important local rock bands, even on record. With songs full of empathy, love, power and a clear edge, Madsen prove on "Hollywood" that German-language guitar music is anything but trivial. Whether political statements or big feelings that sometimes make use of kitsch of the good kind - Madsen songs ignite emotions and quickly feel like new favorite songs.

What's more, and this is particularly important to mention in this day and age: The family-run Madsen company is a zone where everyone should feel comfortable, and where disrespectful and inappropriate behavior is not tolerated. Only a few bands have managed not to let the often cold-blooded music business corrupt them and remain true to their character. Whether they've had the biggest major budgets or, as of now, are setting up their own label "Goodbye Logik Records" for their latest album, Madsen is a family affair and we all get to share in it.
