Mia and her dog Teo are going to spend the whole summer with Mia's grandpa because her mother has a difficult pregnancy. A whole summer almost sounds like an eternity. But luckily Grandpa was a naturalist and his attic is full of strange memorabilia. Particularly strange is a mysterious machine that Uncle Edmund claims can change the earth's obliquity and therefore also the seasons. Can this be possible? And what effect would it have on the earth? Or is Uncle Edmund just pulling her leg to practise for one of his acting roles?

Mia is unsettled and wishes so much that summer was already over because she misses her mom. Through her aunt Luise and her grandpa, she learns a lot about the formation of the seasons and their significance for life on earth. And she spends a magical time with Luise, Teo, Edmund and Grandpa.

Magic Globe illustrates, embedded in an exciting story, the origin of day and night, the seasons and the differences between regions in a child-friendly way and with enchanting animations.
