The Magic of Consistency

Maik Krahl completed his jazz studies at the Carl Maria von Weber Hochschule für Musik in Dresden and also studied for a Master of Music Jazz Improvising Artist at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. His most important teachers included Till Brönner, Malte Burba and the American jazz trumpeter Ryan Carniaux.

"Maik Krahl represents the current top German jazz trumpeter of his generation. His musical statements enrich me and make me look forward to the future of an entire genre that will always exist - a big compliment!" Till Brönner

Concert tours have taken him to Greece, Guinea-Bissau, Canada, Croatia, Lithuania, Serbia, Senegal and the USA. These trips have enabled him to work with musicians such as John Clayton, Kurt Elling, Maria Schneider, Benny Green, Jeff Hamilton, Ingrid Jensen, John Ruocco and Peter Evans.

Maik Krahl has been a professor of jazz trumpet at the Würzburg University of Music since 2026.
