We are all born with a no. Screaming because something is wrong. As defiant girls, we are cute at first, then we are trained to protest. We are supposed to please, not cause problems. In this book, Maike Schöfer gives us back our "no". A no can be an act of self-assertion, a rejection, but it can also mean something much bigger: resistance. Whether as a liberating no to things we don't want to do or as an angry no to entrenched structures and discrimination. An inspiring, personal examination of what is probably the most feminist word we can choose.
