When "Mainz shines", Mainz city center shines in a special glow: From the Rheingoldhalle to Schillerplatz, several buildings will be illuminated and artistically staged from September 26 to 28.

Various light installations and video projections (so-called "mappings") will show prominent buildings such as St. Martin's Cathedral, the Rheingoldhalle, the Mainz State Theatre and the Osteiner Hof on Schillerplatz in a completely new light.

In addition, there will be a varied supporting program in the city centre, which will be organized by the local gastronomy, retail and cultural businesses.

Admission & event times

The event is free of charge.

Daily from approx. 8 pm to 11 pm (after dark): Video projections and light installations along the "light axis" from the Rheingoldhalle to Schillerplatz.
