Not only mainzed is currently celebrating its tenth anniversary, but also our format series mainzedZWEIxx, with which we bring science into society and overarching topics back into science every year, is celebrating its tenth anniversary!
For the first time, mainzed made itself heard with mainzedZWEI16: "digitality and diversity - the humanities in 2026" was the topic of a fishbowl with a prominent line-up of speakers. For the event, mainzed cooperated with the Small Subjects Center at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. We are very pleased that this connection is still alive and that the Center for Small Subjects is once again a cooperation partner this time! We have set the topic for the upcoming mainzedZWEI26 event together accordingly:
"digitality and diversity - humanities NOW"
We will look at past and present perspectives on digitality in the humanities and, of course, cultural studies as they currently stand in 2026, take a look at the last ten years of digitality and discuss forward-looking perspectives for the next ten years and beyond.
This will be accompanied by an exhibition, put together by members of mainzed, on ten years of mainzed!
And last but not least, the students of the Master's degree course "Digital Methodology in the Humanities and Cultural Studies", who are currently realizing their practical projects, will present insights into their project work as a "work in progress".
Registration is requested for the opening event on 29.4.2026
