Lecture by Sebastian Graf

A lecture that gets under your skin: In May 2025, the Riedenburg mountaineer Sebastian Graf succeeded in climbing the 8,485 m high Makalu in the Himalayas - the fifth highest mountain on earth. He was only the 18th German to reach its summit. The expedition in Nepal lasted six weeks and was the culmination of more than seven months of intensive preparation - both physically and mentally.

In his presentation, Sebastian Graf takes the audience along on this extraordinary journey. He gives an impressive account of the planning and logistics, the tough training, the borderline experiences at icy heights and the unbroken fascination that the Himalayas exude.
