Maldito was founded in Liverpool in 2015 by Vegard Ring, Bendik Brevik, Gard Rognskog and Jon Olav Alstad while studying at the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Inspired by 70s rock and prog, combined with a touch of 90s pop rock, the band has developed its own unique musical style.
As winners of the Union Blues Cup 2019, Maldito has played on almost 90 stages in Norway, England and Germany. They also represented Norway at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2020, where they reached the quarterfinals. The band has performed at festivals such as Notodden Blues Festival, Irchenberg Festival, Eutin Bluesfest, Norwegian Blues Adventure in London and Øyafestivalen. In 2023, they opened the concert for Grammy winners Larkin Poe at Tapperiet in Trondheim.

Their debut album Heartlands was recorded in 2020 and released the following year. It includes singles like "Walk Away" and "Dig the Rhythm of Your Heartbeat", while songs like "Frontline" and "Clocktower" became radio classics in Germany.

In May 2024, Maldito followed up with the album Contact Light, a release that completely unleashed their creative energy.

With over 150 shows in Norway, Germany, the UK and the US, Maldito has established itself as one of Trondheim's most cohesive and powerful live bands. This band must be experienced live.
