Under Foreign Skies—A Musical Farewell Journey

Manfred Leuchter has been a musical globetrotter his entire life. His accordion and his unique playing style have taken him on countless tours, allowing him to explore nearly every continent and many countries. Now, after more than five years away from traveling, the urge has taken hold of him once again. But not in the way one might expect. The focus is not on accordion playing, but on the desire to share his overwhelmingly rich travel experiences through a multimedia presentation. The result is an engaging program in which the world musician guides the audience through a wide variety of regions, with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa: “Under Foreign Skies”—richly illustrated, entertainingly narrated, and accompanied by a musically virtuosic and emotionally resonant soundtrack.
Over the past three decades, Manfred Leuchter has delighted audiences with his music at countless performances in his hometown of Würselen. With these two concerts, he now wishes to bid farewell to his stage career in Würselen.
However, these evenings won’t be entirely without music. Music will also have its place. Manfred Leuchter will be accompanied by longtime companions and musical partners:
