Manifesta 16 Ruhr: St. Anna
In the organizer's words:
The original church from 1908 was destroyed in the Second World War. The current building with glass artwork by Johannes Beeck was built in 1970. The hall bears the name of the singer Hatay Engin (1948-2020). It becomes a space for music and dance - for voices, languages and stories that generations of migrant workers brought to the Ruhr region. Creative mediator: Gürsoy Doğtaş Participants: Emre Abut, Cana Bilir-Meier, Constructlab, İhsan Ece, Philipp Gufler, Nejla Gür, Cihangir Gümüştürkmen, Gašper Kunšič, Jannis Psychopedis, Mesut-Sabuha Salaam, Ming Wong, Hanefi Yeter Constructlab is presented as part of School, Neighborhood & Us from the Communities & Education program of Manifesta 16 Ruhr.
