In the organizer's words:
During a walk with the artist Stéphanie Imbeau, we explore the surroundings of the "Mapquilt Tree" - her artwork for the Reinickendorfer Straße school site, which is currently still being realized.
The "Mapquilt Tree" consists of two parts: a sculpture and a narrative. The narrative describes in a surreal and poetic way how the sculpture was created at its location. Visually, the artwork picks up on the different parts of Wedding, which are joined together on the map like the pieces of fabric in a quilt. The walk gives us an insight into the artistic process and the different facets of Wedding.
