MARC COPLAND & DANIEL SCHLÄPPI "MUSIC BEYOND LIMITS"

Marc Copland, world-class New York pianist, and Swiss bassist Daniel Schläppi met in New York in 2010. Marc has made a name for himself as a duo specialist playing with world jazz greats such as John Abercrombie, Gary Peacock, Dave Liebmann, Ralph Towner and Greg Osby. He says of his collaboration with Daniel: "Playing with Daniel reminds me of some of the things I love most about playing jazz: the warmth, the communication, and a way of trying to share with the listener an experience of stillness and wonder ... Seriously the music is wonderful, looking forward to more."

As part of their tenth European tour, the two sound magicians will give their audience unique concert experiences with their dreamlike music full of lightness and inspiration of the moment and present their fourth joint album. What awaits is "winged togetherness" (NZZ), "emotional power" and "something quite essential" (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) as well as an interplay "of delightful intimacy" (NZZ am Sonntag).
