"History teaches people that history teaches people nothing." Mahatma Gandhi's famous saying forms the starting point for a special kind of song recital with Marie Seidler and Wolfram Rieger. In a very personal and highly topical program, the mezzo-soprano, who has already performed several times in the Pierre Boulez Hall as part of the Schubert Week, and her piano partner tell of war, death and loss - but also of hope - in songs of the late 19th and 20th centuries.
