Mario Kart Night | Dortmund

In the organizer's words:

Grab a controller, choose your favorite characters and show off your skills on the Rainbow Boulevard and many other race tracks!

Our Mario Kart tournament (2 vs 2) takes place quarterly at the Cine Bar in Dortmund and offers space for up to 16 teams of two players each. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is played on the Switch in the 150 race class with COM opponents (except in the final).

Tournament mode

At the beginning, four groups of four teams will be formed. Within each group, a Grand Prix with four tracks (two tracks per player) will be played. 1st & 2nd place qualify for the next round in the Winners Bracket. 3rd & 4th place have a maximum of one more chance to advance to the next round in the Fighters Bracket. A team needs a total of three wins to reach the final. Two defeats will result in elimination from the tournament.

The first 8 teams to be eliminated will play in the Beginners Cup.

Procedure

until 18:45: Registration & warm up
19:00: Opening
22:45: Final & award ceremony

Price information:

The team ticket includes the participation of two players. For all those who cannot find a team partner or would simply like to meet new people, we offer "Blind Mate" individual tickets via our homepage, where you will be assigned a team partner by lot.
