In the organizer's words:

Marion Poschmann's work is characterized by innovative form and independent, original approaches to socially relevant themes. She deals congenially with a wealth of literary epochs, for example by updating lyrical traditions such as didactic poems, elegies and odes, especially in the context of a world over-formed by man. On the other hand, she also situates her novel characters in the echo chamber of antiquity with subtle humor and rich allusions.

Marion Poschmann has received numerous prestigious awards for her poetry and prose, most recently the Joseph Breitbach Prize for her previous work in 2023 and the Hölty Prize for Poetry of the City of Hanover in 2020.

Bernhard Malkmus teaches German Studies and Environmental Humanities at the University of Oxford.
