The installation Floating Earth by artist Luke Jerram, a giant globe floating on the Maschteich, provides the setting for the reading by the two authors Marion Poschmann and Ulrike Almut Sandig.
Marion Poschmann and Ulrike Almut Sandig are among the most renowned German-language poets. In their work, they both deal a lot with nature and its representation in literature. Marion Poschmann will read from the volume "Nimbus" and from the essay "Laubwerk". Ulrike Almut Sandig's readings are very performative. She works with sounds and music. Among other things, she will read from the new volume of poetry "Leuchtende Schafe" and combine this with other poems.
The reading at Maschteich is about nature, clouds, trees, the sublime and the beautiful, light and sometimes Hölderlin. During the reading, which will continue into the twilight, the globe will begin to glow.
