MARKGRÄFLER WEINFEST IN STAUFEN

Staufen Wine Festival 2024

The Markgräfler Wine Festival has been held on Alfred-Schladerer-Platz in Staufen since 1973. From Friday to Monday, visitors can sample more than 300 different wines, over 50 sparkling and semi-sparkling wines and various fine brandies presented by 26 winegrowers' cooperatives and wineries from Germany's southernmost sun terrace. The Markgräflerland is the southernmost wine region in Germany and stretches from Weil am Rhein in the south to just outside Freiburg in the north. The wine-growing region in the hilly foothills of the Black Forest can look back on more than 2000 years of wine-growing tradition.
