How can I age bravely, with dignity, angrily, wildly, or wonderfully? 

On August 4, PlatzProjekt will transform into a bustling, colorful information fair. The Market of Wise Knowledge provides information about Hanover’s diverse range of offerings for older adults. We’ve invited a host of experts who are looking forward to presenting their projects, services, or organizations. In addition to recreational activities and city programs, the market will also address topics such as planning for the future, sexuality in old age, and volunteer work. So don’t worry—there’s something exciting for everyone!

Here’s how it works:

At the entrance to the information fair, there’s a large bulletin board with various time slots. To “book” your consultation, simply take the appropriate 30-minute time slot from the board. On the map next to the bulletin board, you’ll see where the experts are comfortably seated at PlatzProjekt, waiting to share their expertise or answer your personal questions. Of course, you can decide for yourself whether you’d like to attend your session alone or with someone else!

The first counseling session runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and continues in the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. In between, you’re invited to join us for a group lunch break, as always.

Participating organizations include: Ricklingen Neighborhood Center, the Lower Saxony Housing Office, Hannover summt e.V., Grandmas Against the Right, Regine Schulze from Malort on the topic of grief, the AWO Senior Citizens’ Advisory Board, ProFamilia on the topic of sexuality in later life, senior advisor Than Ho, Transition Town Hannover e.V., the Adult Education Center (VHS), Flinta* Residenz, and the Professional Association for Art and Cultural Geragogy e.V.
