from 7 to 9 pm (new from June 2023), whereby..., the end of the concert is largely determined by the audience (i.e. you)!

Singer-songwriter

The tongue-in-cheek, polarizing singer-songwriter from Bremen gets to the heart of the matter musically and lyrically! He doesn't allow himself to be directed in terms of style or content. On the contrary, he doesn't mince his words and ironically and humorously calls a spade a spade.

Marno Howald has already performed on stage with Konstantin Wecker and is an unusual musician who outlines his songs with his individual, authentic and sometimes sarcastic signature. It's not that he can be musically pinned down to one genre, as that would only hinder his creativity. Nevertheless, you can sense his own style in the way he writes his lyrics and the topics he addresses. Sometimes with a smile at the corner of his mouth, sometimes with melancholy, but sometimes with the unvarnished truth.

He is ironic, humorous, critical, cheeky, questioning, answering, loving and suffering, autobiographical and romantic. Surprising in any case! You never know whether he's being mischievous or whether a political issue is being sketched out "wickedly".

"He has been very fond of poetry for as long as he can remember...
In 2014, he dared to step in front of an audience for the first time and convinced the guests in a small pub in the heart of Bremerhaven to listen to him.

To his surprise, the reaction to the songs he performed was so flattering that a beautiful idea took root in his head and remains there to this day. Because a small performance, which was intended as a field test, gave rise to an unquenchable desire for more.

Marno on the singer-songwriter:
I think as a songwriter and poet it is of existential importance to surrender to your feelings and trust them. After all, it is precisely those feelings that produce something artistic and so why should I ignore them?

I love what I do.

It's so incredibly liberating to be passionate.
I always wanted to be a singer-songwriter, but I never pursued that goal seriously enough. So it's probably due to a chain of unfortunate and fortunate events that I ended up becoming one.
With over 70 songs now, all about life, love and politics, I've been moving from one stage to the next ever since and I hope to continue doing so for a very long time... "

All concerts are hat concerts, which means that YOU as a guest decide what amount you think is appropriate and put in the hat. There is no rule for this, you alone decide. A little tip: musicians create their works, rehearse and come to us at the venue! Musicians love "spotlights" and any amount is welcome - just like you! We accept cash or EC cash! The amount goes 100% to the musicians on the same evening.
