Basel-based artist MAS combines German rap lyrics with techno, funk and UK garage beats. However, he sees himself not only as a rapper, but also as a songwriter. The 23-year-old, wearing a ski mask and eye-catching white raver glasses, has been producing constant output since the beginning of 2022: he released 14 songs and five music videos, including his first EP "Kreislauf", completely without a label or management. Each of his songs has its own character, yet as a whole they paint a homogeneous picture of sound: fast flows and catchy hooks run like a common thread through MAS' tracks. "Sonntagsdate" in particular has attracted a lot of attention and has been streamed over 600,000 times on Spotify alone.

His lyrics reflect the life of a young man who loses and finds himself somewhere between hectic, love and ecstasy. Sometimes profound and socially critical, at other times direct and humorous. The artist sees himself as a rapper of the new wave hip-hop generation, but also refers to the original elements.

MAS will be coming to Germany for the first time at the end of March 2024, playing in Hmburg and Berlin.
