US-American Matt Maeson's live shows are a blast - despite his sometimes gentle singer/songwriter sound. It is the stories of his turbulent life that the artist shares openly with his audience in his songs and stories. After all, Matt Maeson has experienced quite a few ups and downs in his life. While he spent a lot of time in prisons in his youth making music with his guitar, he went off the rails himself after leaving high school and was involved in drug dealing and drug use. It was music that finally put the Virginia-born musician back on the right track, along with his faith in God. From then on, everything went like clockwork: After a few singles and EPs, the singer released his debut album "Bank On The Funeral" in 2019 and catapulted himself into the musical big leagues virtually overnight. With the singles "Cringe" and "Hallucinogenics", he broke the record as the first male solo artist to land two alternative hits at number 1 with a debut album. He then even re-released the latter track as a feature version with none other than Lana Del Rey and also achieved multi-platinum status with the album. Maeson also won over fans and critics alike with the follow-up "Never Had to Leave" in 2022, combining an intense guitar sound with complicated feelings and raw emotions. Last year, "That's My Cue: A Solo Experience" was followed by a live album - and now Matt Maeson seems to be working on new music again, which he is currently teasing on social media. In February next year, the singer/songwriter will be going on "A Quiet & Harmless Living" tour - including to Berlin!
