What is soul? Emotion, musical style, identity—the Matti Klein Soul Trio embodies all of these. On tour worldwide since 2017, the trio is exploring new possibilities in soul-jazz: with a warm Wurlitzer, Fender Rhodes piano-bass (both played by Matti Klein), a swirling tenor saxophone and bass clarinet (Lars Dieterich), and elastic, funky drums (André Seidel). On the release tour for their new album *Bouncin' In Bubbleverse*, they’re wowing critics and soul connoisseurs alike—with catchy melodies and impressive, long-lingering reflections on society that mirror the diversity of their global touring experiences.
