In the organizer's words:

|KLSD is an automatic sound bias design. By utilizing a limited patented helical gearing concept in the instrumentation and musical strategies, the band responds instantly to slippage events and delivers power directly to the floor. There are no kneecaps to wear out and the load capacity is virtually unlimited. KLSD integrates seamlessly into the venue, with no chatter, power-up noise or excessive maintenance routines, while ensuring maximum brevity, less waiting time and lower interference factors.

The quartet mainly plays music conceived by Max Löbner. Despite the fact that the four musicians live quite far apart geographically, the focus is on joint creation and individual interpretation of the material. The result is a band sound that impresses with its powerful fragility.

In 2022, KLSD won the "recording project" of 2ndFLOOR e.V. in a competition organized by LOFT Cologne, and the resulting album was released in January 2025.

In spring 2024, KLSD won the Central German Jazz Prize. In April 2024, the band went on tour for the first time.

In October 2024, Max Löbner was awarded the Leipzig Jazz Young Talent Prize by the Marion Ermer Foundation.
