With words and music, Maxi Pongratz tackles the big questions on his new tour: How do you become who you want to be? How much order does life need and how do you keep a sense of the essentials? That's not so easy to answer. Especially not for a border crosser like Maxi Pongratz, who gets around a lot, likes to think outside the box and peer over the edges of plates. With an inquisitive eye and open ears, he moves between town and country, pub music and Dada, tradition and rebellion, between wit and melancholy, poetry and sound, shyness and mischievousness.

Maxi Pongratz has just been awarded the Scharfrichterbeil , one of Germany's most prestigious comedy prizes.
Jury statement: "The words go into battle against their own tongue: highly musical, with existential poetic depth."

Now he has made a new record, his fourth, which is unmistakably Pongratz and carries the spirit of Valentin and Kreisler.
We are very much looking forward to the Berlin appearance of the accordionist and singer from Oberammergau and Munich.
