The free development of personality, the right to life, physical integrity and freedom are the second most important rights granted to citizens in the German constitution. With this in mind, Maxine Troglauer and Teresa Raff set themselves free from instrumental and gender-specific stereotypes. In the historic ambience of the Villa Hammerschmidt, they use their instruments to tell moving stories from the past and present, from within and beyond Germany's borders.
Music festival of democracy, 3.10.2024, Bonn government district
We celebrate 75 years of German democracy together - where it all began, in Bonn's government district. There will be short, varied concerts and talks throughout the day at historic democracy sites - make it your own individual concert day! Each event is themed around an article of the Basic Law.
