Alena Baeva | Violin

Violinist Alena Baeva is one of the most remarkable artists of her generation. As a guest with the MDR Symphony Orchestra for the first time, she impresses in concert and as an ensemble leader with two heavyweights of the Baroque violin literature. The concert will be complemented by Mozart's enchanting Divertimento KV 136, which he wrote at the age of sixteen for his new Salzburg employer, Archbishop Colloredo. The overarching theme of this year's MDR Music Summer touches on both the program of Vivaldi's Four Seasons and - tongue-in-cheek - Telemann's Concerto in A major with the subtitle 'Die Relinge' ('The Frogs').
