The Austrian mezzo-soprano Sophie Rennert invites you to a song recital that celebrates the great themes of Romanticism: Nature, love and the eternal search for what remains. Schumann's Liederkreis op. 39, based on poems by Eichendorff, leads us into a world of wandering, night and dreamy longing. Brahms demonstrates his masterful balance between intimacy and dramatic depth in selected songs. And Schubert's Musensohn, Wanderers Nachtlied and the gripping Erlkönig are just some of his immortal masterpieces - miniatures full of emotion, sound magic and narrative power.
