Step into an enchanted forest at the gates of Jerusalem during the Crusades. In this forest you will encounter hunters and nightingales, but also ghostly creatures. Francesco Geminiani's ballet music La Foresta Incantata is artfully interwoven with arias and duets from various works by George Frideric Handel, which inspire with their emotional expressiveness. In Halle, the birthplace of Handel, this program brings together virtuoso baroque music of various genres, performed by Julien Chauvin and the ensemble Le Concert de la Loge, all proven specialists in the sounds of this era.
