MDR Radio Choir
Alexander Lüken | Conductor

Alexander Lüken occupies an outstanding position among young German choir conductors. The winner of the Eric Ericson Award 2024 is broadly positioned as a choir founder, artistic director and singer and is primarily dedicated to new and rarely performed music. He has already been nominated for the Opus Klassik for his first recording of the Christus Trilogy by Mendelssohn's almost forgotten contemporary Friedrich Schneider. Together with the MDR Radio Choir, he will create a program dedicated to musical depictions of nature in keeping with the overarching motto of our festival, placing them in exciting relationships with one another.
