Disinformation and conspiracy narratives are causing uncertainty and rapid technological developments are constantly presenting editorial teams and media professionals with new challenges. How and in what form will "media be there for people" in the future?
The joint discussion series will first look at public service broadcasting (ÖRR). Its abolition is a demand that is being raised in right-wing populist circles. What would this mean for the media system and society as a whole? This is followed by the working conditions for journalists. Insults and hostility are on the increase. What are the reasons for this and what are the consequences? And finally, we will look at the key technology of the 21st century: what opportunities does artificial intelligence offer the media? How can journalism improve with AI?
