Santino is a circus kid. He travels across the country in a trailer with his family and the animals. For him, home isn’t a specific place, but rather his huge family—and especially his great-grandfather Ehe, one of Germany’s last great circus directors. On Santino’s eleventh birthday, Ehe confronts him with the question of his future in the ring. This multi-award-winning film about a life without a safety net or a safety net tells—across generations—the story of the price of freedom and the pitfalls of growing up. A heartfelt film for the whole family!
