Mein Blutbuch

Loosely based on Kim de l'Horizon's award-winning novel "Blutbuch", queer perspectives were interwoven into a production in a joint writing and rehearsal process. What is your personal Blutbuche? What moves you about the story? These questions gave rise to autobiographical texts that, in combination with original quotes from the novel, make the search for connection under social pressure visible in an empowering way.

In a blood book club, 11 young people meet and follow the main character in her longing to escape the silence in the family and the perceived cement-like division into two genders through writing. They lose themselves in memories and become characters from the novel.
Sea, Peer, child. Only Peer is not really present, but the Great Sea is omnipresent, even if she is not there. Like dust particles in the light. All empty boxes full of meaning. With typewriter, electric bass and choreographies, the Stadt-Ensemble Plus, consisting of acting professionals and young people without acting training, stirs up a lot of dust not only in the Casa, but also in the binary hetero world!

The Stadt-Ensemble Plus
Once a season, theater makers bring a directing concept to the stage together with individual professional actors and people without acting training in an intensive rehearsal process. The "Plus" means that the production becomes part of the repertoire. "Plus" is a good opportunity for those who are thinking about pursuing theater as a career to try things out. This format is not a fixed theater club, but is formed completely anew each season, depending on the concept.
