Join Us
We invite you to share your story with us. What connects you to Hamburg? Where do you feel at home? When have you experienced a sense of belonging or exclusion?

Live opening concert: Bands from Bergedorf // Testbild, Pelle Plus Pack, Unser Haus e.V.

The evening spotlights Bergedorf’s vibrant live music scene—authentic, local, and diverse. The young band Testbild kicks things off, offering a glimpse into the next generation of Bergedorf music. Afterward, musicians and a representative from Unser Haus e.V. will join a discussion, followed by Pelle Plus Pack taking the stage to continue the evening with a concert. An evening exploring local scenes, self-organized spaces, and the ways in which music is created.

No registration required.

Falafel Party
Delicious food, great conversations, and dancing together! Look forward to an evening full of encounters, exchanges, and homemade falafels. This event is regularly organized by kohero, a platform for inclusive journalism that highlights the perspectives of people with migration and refugee backgrounds. We’d like to use this evening to chat with you about your neighborhoods, Bergedorf, and life in Hamburg. Registration is appreciated and helps us plan. Last-minute guests are also warmly welcome if space is available.

Change Through Remembrance – Together Against Racism and for Justice: Screening of “The Second Attack” + Panel Discussion

Racist violence is an expression of persistent racist conditions and remains a reality for many people today—including in Hamburg. The documentary “The Second Attack” recounts the experiences of victims and relatives of right-wing and racist violence, placing their perspectives at the center. The subsequent discussion with Okan Taşköprü and Anton Bejarano (Sefkow) will focus on remembrance, responsibility, and the need to clearly expose racist violence and resolutely oppose it.

Registration required via meinhamburg@mhg.shmh.de.

Sat, August 22 | starting at 5 p.m.
Open Closing Event

An open closing celebration to reflect on the event together, enjoy good conversations, and wind down in a relaxed atmosphere.

No registration required.
