AnStifter e. V. and ‘s Dudelsäckle e. V. will open the exhibition featuring posters on UN human rights by Jochen Stankowski. Program: Peter Grohmann, students from the Silcherschule Kornwestheim, and the acoustic guitar duo Zimmerman’s Dream.
Peter Grohmann will present excerpts from his cabaret program. Here’s what it’s all about: To break the deadlock on the topic of human rights, to make its richness and diversity visible, and to highlight its enduring relevance—for the sake of those who have lost their rights, for those who never knew their rights, and for all those who couldn’t care less about human rights—and there are more and more of them.
Students from the Silcherschule Kornwestheim will present their work: video projects on the topic of “human rights” that they submitted to the European competition together with their teacher, Dagmar Müller-Buchalik.
The two guitarists, Achim Fiechtner and Stefan Kratt, take us on a musical journey back to the 20th century. Their atmospheric “journey through time,” featuring Bob Dylan’s “The Times, They Are A-Changin’,” evokes the belief that different—that is, better—times will always come again… A little encouragement certainly can’t hurt these days. And if they were to wrap things up by playing Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down”—which essentially means “giving up is not an option”—then we’d just say: Exactly.
