The program “Masters of Opera” brings together string quartets by Mozart, Henze, and Beethoven—all three composers have made groundbreaking contributions both to the genre of opera and to the genre of the string quartet. The deliberate choice to place him alongside these two famous classical composers symbolizes Henze’s equal and significant standing in modern music.

The Miguet Quartet has made a name for itself through its clever combination of classical and contemporary music and captivates a broad audience with programs that are as popular as they are sophisticated. For many years, they have also been an integral part of Leverkusen’s concert culture.
