Kalle Blomquist dreams of becoming a famous master detective. It's just a pity that he has to live in such a sleepy village where nothing happens. His best friends Anders and Eva-Lotte sometimes make fun of Kalle. But they stop laughing when Eva-Lotte's Uncle Einar comes to visit, and in his entourage are some very sinister characters. Kalle Blomquist recognizes with detective instinct that these men are very shady people. After numerous dangerous adventures, he manages to play the strangers into the hands of the police, who unmask them as long-sought jewel thieves.
