Born and raised in Athens and now living in Berlin, singer, songwriter, pianist, trumpeter, film composer and performer Melentini has been expressing herself in a diverse range of musical styles for almost two decades.

She began her discography with the electronic collective Sequence Theory Project, with whom she recorded and released her first album together with her producer Richard König in 2010.

In 2013, Melentini founded her own ensemble, The Running Blue Orchestra, in Athens and has since performed at numerous venues and selected international festivals.

Her work combines melancholic, contemporary, ambient, avant-garde and synthwave elements - often interspersed with rhythmic grooves and danceable beats. Her mysterious, powerful and unmistakable voice carries traces of Greek and Balkan folk traditions that deeply inform her melodic sensibility.

Her forthcoming fourth studio album Everything We've Lost was recorded in Athens at Lotus Studio. The work is strongly influenced by the humanitarian crisis of recent years and her own experiences of migration. At its core, it reflects on uprootedness, loss and lovers separated by distance - poetic in its exploration of the fragility and endurance of human connection, yet intimate within urban structures.
