Mensch, Roboter! – Robotik aus der Dresdner Wissenschaft

In the organizer's words:

In the "Mensch, Roboter!" exhibition, you can playfully discover what robotics research in Dresden looks like - and what it has to do with our everyday lives. Scientists from various research institutions have developed interactive exhibits for this purpose - understandable for everyone, without any prior knowledge.

Robots are taking on more and more tasks that are too difficult, too monotonous or too dangerous for humans - for example in care, in the household or in industry. Thanks to new technologies, they are working with us more and more safely and flexibly. They are also becoming increasingly attentive to their surroundings.

The exhibition shows various robot prototypes and models, games as well as hands-on stations and also invites you to immerse yourself at a station with VR glasses. You will gain an insight into a world in which humans and robots communicate and interact closely with each other. How could robots feel and should they feel at all? What is behind soft robotics? How do researchers ensure that robots are safe and trustworthy? And how could they provide even more support in care and agriculture?

"Mensch, Roboter!" invites you to join in, try things out and think: how much trust do you place in robots and what do you need to be able to rely on them?

The exhibition is aimed at science enthusiasts aged 14 and over and is free of charge.
