A shared history

Le Petit Franz has been a wine store and specialty store in the heart of Leipzig since 2016. From 2017, Konrad Gehse and Franz-Léon Eckhardt formed the restaurant together and established it as a culinary address for French cuisine and savoir-vivre. The two had met years earlier in Berlin at "THE GRAND" restaurant - an encounter that marked the beginning of a friendship and creative partnership.

Many evenings, numerous events and a shared passion for French cuisine and wine connected the two over the years. Now a circle has come full circle: Konrad Gehse returns to create a special evening together with Franz-Léon Eckhardt.

Under the name "Gehseckhardt", the two chefs are bringing a cuisine to Leipzig that combines French classics with a regional character. The menu tells of seasonality, artisanal quality and clear origins - prepared with the best products from the market garden, bakery and farm store of the Kreuma farm near Leipzig.
