Groups, packs, hordes, gangs, alliances, families, communities, bubbles. Humans are social beings. While animals do not usually choose their societies freely, humans form communities of their own accord in many contexts.
Communities shape the world in which we live in many different ways; as a space for resonance, protection and exchange, but also as a space for negotiation, compromise and conflict. They do not arise by themselves: They can succeed, change or crash and burn. Against this backdrop, "Merry Company" asks whether community is really a happy company - and who is actually the author:in of ideas, art or knowledge. The answer is often: many.
"Merry Company" invites you not only to observe community, but to experience it in a participatory way.
