The third edition of our successful metal series brings you two top-class acts to M8 in Mainz!

SOLACE (Dresden) are the winners of our Band Contest 2023! Modern metal with melodic hooklines, slamming bass drums and low-tuned guitars. Metalcore elements à la Bring Me The Horizon meet melancholic alt-rock vibes. After their successful European tour 2025, the energetic show is now coming to us!

MARUNA (Mainz) bring a breath of fresh air to the metal scene! The Mainz-based band combine modern metal and metalcore elements with traditional cultural influences from all over the world to create their unique "polyculture metal". Founded in 2023 by former members of the band Nepumuc, MARUNA focus on powerful riffs, emotional depth and cultural diversity. Their debut album "VOODOO", released in 2025, impressively shows how respectfully researched cultural inspiration and modern metal can merge into something new.
